“উতিষ্ঠত জাগ্ৰত” (Arise, awake, and move forward towards success and enlightenment), Goreswar College has successfully completed 50 years of its glorious existence since 1974. Established in 1974 on the serene north bank of the mighty River Brahmaputra, and situated in the heart of the newly formed Tamulpur District under the Bodoland Territorial Council, the college has emerged as a centre of academic excellence, discipline, and value-based education. It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to Goreswar College, a premier institution of higher education along with fulfilling the aspirations of the students in the Higher Secondary level (Arts & Commerce). The College has three streams in the degree course- Arts, Science and Commerce. Since its inception, the college has been dedicated to spreading quality education among the students of rural & tribal dominated areas, and contributing to the intellectual, social, and cultural development of the region. Our institution continuously strives to nurture young minds through innovative teaching-learning practices, co-curricular activities, research orientation, and community engagement.
