The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis as a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy and the Air Force. Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and drill. Officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course.
Goreswar college NCC unit was established in 2020. The unit under 30 Assam Bn NCC, Jalukbari, Guwahati. The strength of the unit is 100 cadets. Goreswar College NCC is very active and energetic. They have organized verious events frequently inside and outside the campus. Last year total 10 cadets have joined Assam police and Indian Army from this unit. SUO Sujuram Boro has participated in Republic Day Pared in Rajpath, New Delhi in 2023.
